I must admit that on first hearing of nordic walking, like most of my friends i thought "Paying someone to go walking" how daft is that? I already go to the gym 3 times a week i am keeping myself fit, but i had reached my plateau, there was no going up, the only way for me was down. Boredem had set in. This brought me to read your poster about the benefits of nordic walking. Less pressure on the joints, sounds good, my knees were creaking like an haunted houses door, and screaming at me to give it a try. So i did and now i want to say it's great, i love it, not only am i already feeling firmer and fitter, with your walks i get to see the beautiful country side that is right on my door step.
I also like your approach because you explain everything, and i am a person who needs to know what i am doing. Nordic walking certainly gets the heart pumping and the sweat running. My joints dont ache like they used to, and I feel my strength and energy levels improving. I am so pleased i started these classes and always look forward to the next. It really does feel great. Thank you for not only giving me a different way of getting fit, and getting me out of the gym, but also for making it fun, and for your words of advice, encouragement and motivation. This entire experience is far more than just a walk. My advice to anyone thinking of trying Nordic walking is, Go for it. Like me, i am sure your will be amazed at how quickly you can see and feel the results, and for what seems minimum effort.Once again Jim thank you. |
